2024-2027 action plan regarding persons with disabilities (French only) and 2023-2024 summary

Octobre 18, 2024 – The Plan d’action à l’égard des personnes handicapées 2024-2027 shows our commitment to reducing the barriers affecting persons with disabilities who are part of our staff or of our clientele.

We consulted persons with disabilities in February 2024 with the following objectives:

• Be aware of the elements of the service offering likely to create different barriers
• Document the actions to be carried out in the action plan regarding persons with disabilities

Therefore, various actions will be implemented to simplify and improve access to web services we offer. Measures will be put in place to welcome, integrate, and retain persons with disabilities in a hybrid, regionalized work environment. Accessibility to buildings, sites and facilities will also be considered, in line with the work environment in which staff operate. Other actions are also planned to raise awareness, train staff, and prevent discrimination.

Here are a few of our achievements over the past year:

• Launch of 3 accessible online forms, including the External Breastforms Program and the Ostomy Appliance Program
• Hiring of 3 students with disabilities
• Introduction in June 2023 of a monthly subscription program at a fixed rate for employees holding an accessible parking permit
• Creation of 3 new personas representing clienteles with motor, visual or hearing disabilities
